Brewer Dance Academy
We at Brewer Dance Academy are offering ballet classes in St Albans for children aged 3 and upwards. We first started life as ‘The Stephanie Ledger School of Dancing’, a school established in 1972 by Stephanie Ledger. The school is now run by Mrs Helen Brewer.
We are very proud to say that nearly all our Ballet classes offer live music from very talented pianists, something we strongly believe is vital for developing musicality in young dancers.
Current Classes
Our school welcomes children from age 3 upwards to take part in our wonderful Ballet classes. Our highly experienced teachers run a range of different classes, and we welcome students to attend more than one class a week if they are very keen and wish to learn more! But saying that, our classes do have limited space so you should always discuss your options with Mrs Brewer first. In term time, we are open six days a week.
Exams and Workshops
All our Ballet students will have the opportunity to be entered into ‘Royal Academy of Dance’ exams if they desire it, and we also like to encourage them to show their love for the dance through special performance workshops. These take place semi-regularly and are an amazing opportunity to learn about the wider world of Ballet.
