Clifford family walked away with two golds - Harriet in Tri 3 U-15’s where she was just pipped by the boys winner Josh Sambrook, and Josh in Tri 2 U-13 event who finished just 4 seconds ahead of Tri-2 girls winner Victoria Pritchard.

In the hard fought Tri-Star 1 (U-11) event, where there were 62 competitors, Jeremy Nockels took gold in the boys event , Daniel Campfield took silver, Northern Ireland’s Michael O'Hare ensured the journey was worthwhile by picking up bronze.  In the girls Tri-1 CoStA’s Hannah Yorweth beat training rival Elena Baccas.  Beaumont won the School’s Challenge trophy- with 2 golds, a third and fourth.

Winner’s trophies were presented by Pete Simpson of S & P Architects, designers for the new Westminster Lodge & sponsors of the CoStA Aquathlon, who confirmed they will sponsor CoStA for the year.  “The event was fantastic with competitors from across the region, & it was so well organised.  S&P are delighted to extend our association with CoStA, and wish them every success in this season’s Speedo League competition.”

CoStA Chairman David Lightowler was brimming with pride.  “This really puts CoStA on the map, a unique event that attracts swimmers, runners and tri-athletes.  With so many children entering, competing hard and having such fun, this will become a regular event is sure to grow and grow.  We look forward to seeing everyone again for the next competition on 25th April 2010”
